Demand for Pillar Flyover on Bhatkal Highway: Delegation of all religions and sects met the Assistant Commissioner

Bhatkal, 26 Mar 2022 [Fik/News Sources]: After the approval of the ramp instead of the pillar flyover in the city, a delegation from all religions and sects of the city met the Assistant Commissioner at 5pm yesterday and asked him about the benefits of the pillar flyover and the construction of the ramp.  Memorandums were presented by various organizations and institutions mentioning the difficulties faced by the people. Facebook begins fact-checking news in poll-bound Karnataka

Bengaluru, 18 Apr 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: With Karnataka heading for the polls in May, Facebook has announced a third-party fact-checking programme in the state to fight spread of fake news on its platform. The social media giant on Tuesday partnered with BOOM, an independent digital journalism initiative, for a pilot programme that will first roll out in the southern state. Karnataka goes to election on May 12, and the counting of votes will take place on May 15. CM Siddaramaiah to contest from Badami too

Bengaluru, 22 Apr 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will contest also from Badami assembly constituency in the state's Vijayapura district in addition to Chamudeshwari in Mysuru, a Congres official said on Saturday. "Siddaramaiah will contest from two assembly segments -- Chamundeshwari and Badami, where he will file nomination on Monday," party's state unit spokesman Ravi Gowda told IANS here.
