Demand for Pillar Flyover on Bhatkal Highway: Delegation of all religions and sects met the Assistant Commissioner

Bhatkal, 26 Mar 2022 [Fik/News Sources]: After the approval of the ramp instead of the pillar flyover in the city, a delegation from all religions and sects of the city met the Assistant Commissioner at 5pm yesterday and asked him about the benefits of the pillar flyover and the construction of the ramp. 

Memorandums were presented by various organizations and institutions mentioning the difficulties faced by the people. Discussing the occasion, They said that the first pillar flyover was approved but suddenly the layout was changed and now preparations are being made for the construction of the ramp. 

In this case, passengers will have difficulty reaching the bus station and will not be able to reach the other side of the road due to the ramp. 

Similarly, the Assistant Commissioner was informed that construction of underpass at Town Junction was mandatory. According to the current map, there is no separate road to the old part of the city, ie downtown, and they will have to cover a distance of two kilometers. 

They demanded that the people be relieved by resolving the above two demands. 

Talking to media on the occasion, the officials said that we have spoken to the MLA, MP and the Minister in charge of the district and they have assured a solution to the problem. 

It was stated that if the issue is not resolved then they will inevitably have to sit on the protest and fulfill their demands.
