LPG tanker jumps road divider after hitting KSRTC bus
Bantwal, 18 June 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: A LPG tanker jumped a road divider after hitting a KSRTC bus at Thumbay on June 17, Monday. No casualties were reported in the incident. As per reports the KSRTC bus, headed towards BC Road applied brakes and moved right all of a sudden. Gangolli: Deep sea fishing delayed
Gangolli, 06 August 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Although the two months ban on fishing has concluded, the beginning of deep sea fishing season from here may be delayed by some days due to inclement weather at Gangolli. According to sources, mechanized fishing is expected to start after Aug 10th. Conclude fishing in May The boats which have lain anchored to the shore are preparing to venture out into the sea and last minute preparations are on at Gangolli bunder. Preparations are being done for the sequential release of the boats anchored at Manganese Warf here. Mechanized fishing has already started in Mangaluru while it is expected to start at Malpe in a couple of days. Mangaluru: Coast Guard’s offshore patrol vessel ’Varaha’ arrives
Mangaluru, 15 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Coast Guard’s offshore patrol vessel ’Varaha’ arrived at New Mangalore Port on October 15, Tuesday. Senior Coast Guard officials including Raj Kamal Sinha, CISF officer Ashutosh Gaur and others were present to receive Varaha. Designed and built indigenously by Larsen and Toubro, Varaha has capabilities to operate twin engine Advance Light Helicopters and is fitted with state of the art communication technology and navigation, sensor and machinery. The vessel is equipped with a 30-mm gun and a 12.7mm gun for enhancing the fighting efficiency of the vessel.
