Bengaluru: Man test-driving Range Rover car killed in accident
Bengaluru, 27 Mar 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: A young man, identified as Sagar Jayaram, who took a Range Rover car for test drive was killed in an accident. His wife, who was also in the car, suffered fracture in the spine. The accident happened near Hoskerehalli toll booth on NICE Road in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 26. Sagar's son, Samarth (6), friend-cum-business partner, Gautham, and driver of the demo car, Shivakumar, were also in the car at the time but all of them escaped unscathed. The person who lost his life was Sagar Jayaram, an interior decorator. He was a resident of Girinagar here. His wife, Sandhya (27), stands admitted into a private hospital at Uttarahalli with fracture in the spine. Mild rain, accompanied by lightning and thunder was reported from several locations in Kasaragod district. Strong winds blew off the sheets installed as roof for merchant stalls at Sri Mahalingeshwara temple festival here. Hailstone rain Along with wind and thunder, hailstone rain was witnessed in the rural areas of Puttur taluk including Kowdiccharu, Badagannur, Eshwaramangala and Sullia Padavu. Muslims to distribute 1,000 sweet boxes this Eid
Mangaluru, 04 June 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: On the occasion of Eid, a group of Muslims have decided to distribute 1,000 sweet boxes to non-Muslims. This decision of the Muslims comes after the Sri Lanka terror attacks, informed sources. It is gathered that the plan has been set and several teams have been formed. After offering Eid prayers on Wednesday morning, the distribution of sweet boxes will begin from the office of the city police commissioner and teams would meet MLA Vedavyas Kamath at his office, following which 10 teams each comprising of 2-3 members with 100 boxes of sweets will be going around prominent streets sweet boxes and visit Bajrang Dal office, church and bhajan mandirs.
