Homemaker applies for part-time job, loses Rs 59,000

Bengaluru, 05 July 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Scamsters seem to come up with new ideas to dupe gullible people in a bid to make easy money. Here in Bengaluru, a homemaker who was looking to earn some money doing a part-time job at home ended up losing a sum of Rs 59,000 before realising that she had been taken for a ride. The victim, Saraswati, residing in Kadugodi had contacted the conman, who identified himself as Sunil Sharma to inquire about an advertisement regarding a work from home option that had featured on a national newspaper. Saraswathi was asked to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,150 to apply for the job that promised a monthly salary in the range of Rs 15,000-40,000. After this sum was deposited in a bank account, Sunil called Saraswati to confirm its receipt and asked her to deposit further Rs 59,200 towards insurance

Missing techie's sister leads protest seeking CBI probe

Bengaluru, 09 July 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Missing techie Ajitabh Kumar's sister Pragya led a protest at Town Hall in Bengaluru, on Sunday seeking justice for her brother who has been missing for nearly 200 days now. Truck terminal at Baikampady soon, DK minister Khader
