State government is not bankrupt: CM Kumaraswamy

Bengaluru, 05 Dec 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: “The state government has not issued any direction regarding Hampi Utsav. However, I would direct the authorities to celebrate the Utsav in a simple manner if people want”, said Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Speaking to reporters at the Vidhana Soudha here on Tuesday, the CM said that the district in-charge minister and the MLAs have discussed with him about cancelling the Hampi Utsav following drought situation. But the government has not taken any decision yet.

"The state government was not that bankrupt. But the entire state knows that up to which extent these people have looted Ballary and now they are saying that they would beg and collect money for celebrating Hampi Utsava," MLA Somashekar Reddy hit back to former minister Janardhan Reddy’s statements.
