Will discuss cabinet expansion with Shah during his Karnataka visit
Bengaluru, 12 Jan 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: With no appointment yet to meet the BJP top brass in New Delhi to discuss the expansion of his ministry, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Saturday said he would discuss the matter with party president Amit Shah during the latter’s visit to the state next week. “On January 17-18 Amit Shah is coming here (Karnataka). If he gives me the time I will go (to Delhi), or else will talk to him here (when he visits) and take permission for cabinet expansion and do whatever possible in his presence,” Yediyurappa told reporters here. The Chief Minister had said on Thursday that he would leave for New Delhi, probably on January 11 or 12, to discuss the cabinet expansion with the BJP high command and was waiting for an appointment from national leaders. Dubai-bound AI Express flight delayed by over four hours
Mangaluru, 15 March 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Passengers of a Dubai-bound Air India Express flight at Mangaluru airport complained off an over four-hour delay in the flight take-off here on Saturday, March 14. Passengers said that the flight which was scheduled to depart at 8.15 pm did not take off until over midnight. “The boarding formalities were completed on time. When we inquired about delay in the take-off after waiting for over two hours we did not get a proper response,” said the passengers. In biggest-ever spike, Karnataka records 53 new cases; state tally 847
Bengaluru, 10 May 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: With 53 new coronavirus case, which is a new record, there appears to be no sign of the curve flattening in Karnataka. The total number of cases on Sunday increased to 847. The state also reported its 31st death after the reports of 56-year-old woman, who passed away on May 7, showed that she was COVID positive. The resident of Hennur was admitted to a private hospital on May 4, shifted on May 6 with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI). Her sample was sent on the same day. She died on May 7 after which the report showed positive on May 9. Belagavi is the worst-hit district after it reported 22 cases in a single day.
