Three Shivamogga students rescued from drowning in Malpe beach

Malpe, 23 Sep 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Three students of Shivamogga origin who were drowning  in the Malpe beach were rescued by the Malpe Beach Guards on September 22, Wednesday afternoon.

The students who were rescued are Nitin, Manjunath and Kiran, all 19 years of age. The three were part of a 35 member group from a college in Shivamogga which had come to the Malpe beach on a tour in a bus. It is learnt, the three were swept away by the tidal waves while the students were making merry. Immediately Life Guard Madhukar Salian and some others rescued the three students.
