K’taka fisheries dept launches home delivery app for seafood
Bhatkal, 21 Nov 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: The Karnataka fisheries department is coming up with a dedicated mobile-based application to order fish to be home-delivered. It is said that that the app will be launched on Saturday, Nov 20 by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. According to TNIE, The Union government has approved of Rs 137 crore for the scheme, and in the next five years, the State government will get Rs 4,115 crore under the Matsya Sampada Yojana. The app for online sales and door delivery was designed to push for better turnover. Bengaluru, 28 Jan 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday, continued with his campaign for Belagavi to be included in Maharashtra, much to the dismay of leaders from Karnataka. At the launch of the book 'Maharashtra-Karnataka Seemawaad: Sangharsh and Sankalp' Thackeray was heard saying that areas dominated by Marathi- speaking people on the state's border with Karnataka should be declared as a Union Territory till the Supreme Court gives its final verdict on the issue on Wednesday. Auto driver dies as speeding car rams into his vehicle on Netravathi bridge
Mangaluru, 27 Mar 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: A speeding car rammed into an autorickshaw on the Netravathi bridge on March 27, Saturday morning resulting in the death of the autorickshaw driver. The deceased is Shyamprasad (45). He had dropped a passenger in Mangaluru and was returning when the car rammed into the autorickshaw from behind. The impact of the collision was such that Shyamprasad was thrown out of the autorickshaw and was eventually run over by the car killing him on the spot.
