Bengaluru, 23 Feb 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa on Friday dropped enough hints that notwithstanding the setback suffered following the Audiogate bribery case, his party would renews its efforts to form a BJP government in the state after the Lok Sabha election.
Inaugurating the ‘Modi Vijay Sankalpa Yatra’, Mr Yeddyurappa declared, "give me at least 22 seats in the Lok Sabha election. Within 24 hours of victory, this coalition government will be out of office".
The BJP leader launched a tirade against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy saying, "Mr Kumaraswamy has insulted the people of the state by declaring that he has been made CM by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. It's unfortunate that a party, which has got only 37 seats, is in office. The JD(S) and Congress have formed an unholy alliance only to prevent me from occupying the CM¹s chair."
However earlier during an interaction with the media, Mr Yeddyurappa said that his party would not try to conduct ‘Operation Kamala’ once again after the LS polls.
