Ministerial aspirants lobby as Kumaraswamy struggles to save coalition govt
Bengaluru, 29 May 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Ministerial aspirants started lobbying Tuesday, with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamyreportedly planning cabinet expansion or reshuffle in a bid to save the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government in Karnataka. The development came as Kumaraswamy himself swung into action by personally meeting disgruntled legislators, mainly from the Congress and made attempts to pacify them. “100 per cent I will prove my majority,” says Yediyurappa
Bengaluru, 28 July 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: A day ahead of seeking the trust vote in the Karnataka assembly, Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Sunday expressed confidence about proving the majority. He also said that the finance bill prepared by the previous Congress-JD(S) government would be tabled by him in the assembly on Monday, without any changes. “On Monday hundred per cent I will prove the majority,” Yediyurappa told reporters here. Body of Cafe Coffee Day founder Siddhartha found
Mangaluru, 31 July 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Body of Coffee Day founder and son-in-law of former chief minister S M Krishna, who was missing since the evening of Monday was found on Wednesday morning on the riverbank at Hoige Bazar area in city. A local fisherman named Rithesh who spotted the body intimated authorities, following which police reached the spot. Mangaluru MLA U T Khader said friends and relatives have confirmed that the body is of Siddhartha. Earlier, police said the body, which appeared to be of Siddhartha, was yet to be identified by his family. “A body has been found, which appears to be him.
