Life of U.K district fishermen under house arrest in Iran is in precario: Central govt. urged to pay

Bhatkal, 13 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The 18 fishermen from several parts of Uttar Kannada district, who have been arrested by the Iranian officials for last four months after they allegedly strayed into Iranian waters, have once again urged through a video to the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to get them released.  The Iranian Navy officers have confined them for allegedly entering Iranian waters while fishing off the Dubai coast.  The Tanzeem organization, which has requested the state government to pressurize the central government in getting them released, has also requested the Ministry of External Affairs to take measures in getting fishermen back

Kasargod: NIA Kochi begins probe into seven Kerala youth joining ISIS

Kasargod, 12 Jan 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Kochi branch of National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case about seven young men from the state having left India to join terrorist organization, ISIS, and begun its probe. NIA sources have confirmed that these seven youth had left Kerala on different dates. There is information that they have joined terrorist organizations, Jund Al-aqsa and Jabath al-Nusra. During the period the agency was investigating cases of Malayalees from Kasargod and other districts having left India to become members of terrorist outfits, it stumbled on information about the seven men. Kundapur : Skeletal remains found in locked shed at Kumbashi

Kundapur, 02 Feb 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The skeletal remains suspected to be that of a woman have been found inside a dilapidated shed at Kumbhashi near here. A saree and a blouse said to be that  of the woman  was also found  nearby. The suspicion is that the  woman might have died at least four to five years ago. Another suspicion that is doing rounds is that the skeletal remains are that of Malathi Shetty who went  missing  almost four years ago. The skeletal remains were found on the land  belonging to Praveen Shetty of Vakvady and was noticed when some workers who arrived there  to clean the land of the bushes and shrubs using a JCB, opened the roofing of the locked shed.
