Suspected ISIS links: NIA raid on residence of son of Ullal’s ex-MLA Idinabba

Mangaluru, 04 Aug 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: A team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials  has raided the residence of the son of Ullal’s former MLA B M Idinabba.

The raid took place in the house of B M Basha, the son of Idinabba. Sources said the raid was in the backdrop of allegations of links with ISIS militants of Syria. The NIA team comprising of around 25 officials is accompanied by local police personnel. Basha  has been into real estate business in Mangaluru.

It may be recalled that one of Idinabba’s daughter  was missing from Kerala about ten years ago and it was suspected that she had joined ISIS.

Sources said today’s raid was following information suspected ISIS links and  contacts with  some militants from Jammu and Kashmir.
