Covid fatality rate at 0 in 20 districts, only 189 cases in ICU

Bengaluru, 02 Jan 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: With 1,084 people getting discharged on Friday, the total recoveries in the state touched 8,97,200, taking the recovery rate to its highest at 97.48%. Males account for 55.27 lakh recoveries and females for 34.33 lakh recoveries.  Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar said on Friday, “Since March, we have conducted more than 1.47 crore tests across the state. The positivity rate stood at 0.82% on the last day of 2020.”  There were 877 new cases reported on the day, which took the state’s tally to 9,20,373 cases. Bengaluru reported 464 cases. Bengaluru, 15 Feb 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Former Prime Minister and JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda on Sunday led the party’s convention in Bengaluru. Lockdown norms eased, essential shops allowed to open till 6 pm; grocery shops till 12 noon

Bengaluru, 02 May 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: With crowds increasing, Karnataka has modified its lockdown order allowing Hopcoms, milk booths and sale of fruits and vegetables on pushcarts from 6 am to 6 pm. Further the government allowed APMCs and grocery shops to remain open from 6 am to 12 noon. The earlier order issued on Monday last permitted these activities only between 6 am and 10 am. The government has prohibited all types of fairs to prevent crowding. The order said that pushcarts selling fruits and vegetables must not overcharge and must stick to the market price of commodities while following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
