Karnataka's Madikeri, Gadag top India in good air quality

Bengaluru, 18 Nov 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: With an Air Quality Index (AQI) value of 22 on Tuesday, Gadag in Karnataka stood at the second position among major cities in the country with good air quality, according to the daily bulletin of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). Madikeri came first in the country with an AQI value 19.  Apart from Gadag, four districts of North Karnataka were also in the ‘Good’ AQI category — Hubballi (35), Bagalkot (23), Yadgir (30) and Bidar (41).  Gadag was in first place across the nation on June 5 and July 6 this year. Congress appoints campaign committees in DK

Mangaluru, 18 Mar 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Gearing up for the upcoming legislative assembly elections in the state, the Dakshina Kannada District Congress Campaign Committee has appointed specific committees for the District, Legislative Assembly and Blocks in the Dakshina Kannada constituency. Dakshina Kannada District Congress Campaign Committee President Dhanajaya Adpangaya, on March 17, informed the media that the campaign committee for Dakshina Kannada, Vidhana Sabha and block levels had been formed as per the direction of State Campaign Committee President D K Shivakumar.  "Campaign committee presidents have been appointed for the district and Assembly Constituency and very soon we will appoint the campaign committee presidents for the block and booth levels in the district" he added. Domestic cooking gas cylinder to cost over ₹ 1,050 after latest hike

Bhatkal, 06 July 2022 [Fik/News Sources]: Cost of domestic liquid petroleum gas cylinders weighing 14.2 kilogram will get dearer from Wednesday as their prices have been raised by ₹ 50 per unit. In the national capital, it will now cost ₹ 1,053 per unit. Besides, in Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai, it will be priced at ₹ 1,079, ₹ 1,052.5, and ₹ 1,068.5, respectively, Indian Oil Corporation said. Previously, the prices for domestic cylinders were revised on May 19, 2022. On the other hand, rates for the 19-kilogram commercial cylinder have been cut by ₹ 8.5 per unit effective today.
