Drop in fuel prices
Mangaluru, 12 May 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The prices of petrol and diesel has dropped with the fall in the price for crude oil and the fall in dollar value. The least price for the fuel in the local market for the month was recorded on Saturday. Within a week, the prices of petrol and diesel have fallen day by day. The price of petrol was Rs 74.72 on May 6th which dropped by 84 paisa and reached Rs 73.84 on May 11th. Diesel price which was at Rs 68.17 dropped by 38 paisa to Rs 67.79 on May 11th. The drop in prices was within a week for either of the fuels. The price of petrol in Udupi was Rs 75.01 on May 6th fell to Rs 74.13 on May 11th. K’taka sounds alert after man infected with Nipah virus in Kerala
Bengaluru, 06 June 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Days after a 23-year-old student was diagnosed with the potentially deadly Nipah virus in Kerala, the Karnataka government has sounded alert in eight districts, including those on the borders of the neighbouring state. The condition of the college student, diagnosed with Nipah infection, is stable, hospital authorities said. A total of 314 persons who were in touch with the infected person have been kept under observation, officials said.
