NIA nabs nine al-Qaeda operatives from Murshidabad and Ernakulam

New Delhi, 19 Sep 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested nine Al-Qaeda operatives during the raids conducted at multiple locations in Murshidabad, West Bengal and Ernakulam, Kerala. Six were held from Murshidabad while three were arrested from Ernakulam. The NIA team conducted the raids on Saturday early morning and picked the terrorists associated with Pakistan sponsored module of Al-Qaeda.   Terrorists arrested from Ernakulam are Murshid Hasan, Iyakub Biswas and Mosaraf Hossen. They were picked from Mudikkal near Perumbavoor in Ernakulam district where they have been staying among migrant workers. According to reports they have been working in the area for long. The arrested terrorists will be produced before the concerned Courts in Kerala and West Bengal for police custody

Army Chief Gen Naravane leaves for UAE, Saudi Arabia

New Delhi, 09 Dec 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Chief of Army Staff Gen MM Naravane on Tuesday left on a six-day tour of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, in a first-ever visit by ahead of the Indian Army to the two strategically important Gulf countries. The visit by the Army chief is seen as a reflection of India’s growing strategic ties with the two countries and is expected to further open up new avenues for cooperation in the defence and security sphere. Gen Naravane’s visit comes in the midst of fast-paced developments in the Gulf region including normalisation of Israel’s relations with several Arab countries as well as situation arising out of the assassination of Iran’s top nuclear weapons scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Government privatising profit and nationalising loss, says Rahul; supports bank strike

New Delhi, 16 Mar 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Taking a dig at the government, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday alleged that selling public sector banks to "cronies" will compromise the country's financial security. He also accused the government of "privatising profit" and "nationalising loss". "Government of India (GOI) is privatising profit and nationalising loss.
