Turkey, US hold 7th joint helicopter flight over Syria

WASHINGTON, 29 Sep 2019 [Fik/News Sources]:Turkish and U.S. armed forces conducted the seventh round of joint helicopter flights on Saturday for a planned safe zone east of the Euphrates River in northern Syria.  According to Anadolu Agency correspondents on the ground, two Turkish and two American helicopters took off from Sanliurfa, southeastern Turkey, where the two countries’ armed forces have a joint operations center. They flew to the Syrian side of the border. After an hour-long flight, the helicopters returned to the center. Iraqi government pledges new reforms to stop protests

BAGHDAD, 07 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Iraqi government announced on Sunday new reforms to meet the demands of demonstrators in the capital Baghdad and southern cities.   According to the official news agency of Iraq, the cabinet held an extraordinary meeting upon the call of Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdel Mahdi. The cabinet issued a decree of planned reforms, including land distributions and increased welfare stipends for needy Iraqi families.  A national housing plan, which includes the construction of 100,000 buildings and prioritizes poor cities, was promised by the cabinet decree.  150,000 unemployed Iraqis who are unable to work will be given $147 financial support by the government for three months. Yemeni government, separatist council sign Riyadh deal

RIYADH, 06 Nov 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The Yemeni government and the separatist council on Tuesday signed a deal to end the conflict over several southern cities, including Aden. The agreement was signed between the Yemeni government and the United Arab Emirates-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the Saudi capital Riyadh. Yemen’s Deputy Prime Minister Salem al-Khanbashi, representing the Yemeni government; and Nasser al-Khabaji, the representative of the STC, signed the agreement in the presence of Yemeni, Arab and other foreign leaders and politicians.
