Korean generals meet for North-South military talks
SEOUL, 31 July 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Military generals from both Koreas held talks at their heavily guarded border Tuesday as they aimed to ease tensions in line with April's summit agreement reached by respective leaders President Moon Jae-in and Chairman Kim Jong-un. It was the second general-level meeting since Moon met Kim -- military talks on June 14 had been the first of their kind in over a decade. Just like last month, South Korea's Major Gen. Pakistan: Acquittal of Christian woman protested
KARACHI, 01 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: In a protest against the acquittal of Christian woman in a blasphemy case, thousands of people blocked roads across Pakistan on Thursday, police and local media reported. The protests cut off scores of cities and towns from capital Islamabad and provincial capitals, suspending the traffic. Angry mobs of religious activists -- mainly belonging to newly-emerged Sunni group, Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) -- staged sit in on key roads in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Multan, and other major cities. Mosque bombing injures 10 in southwest Pakistan
KARACHI, 22 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: At least ten people were injured in a bomb explosion that took place inside a mosque in southwest Pakistan on Wednesday, police and local media reported. The explosion took place at a mosque located in the Chaman district of southwestern Balochistan province, which borders Afghanistan, soon after Maghrib (sunset) prayer, local broadcaster Capital TV reported, quoting unnamed police officials. The injured included the imam (prayer leader) whose condition was stated to be critical. Initial investigations suggested that the explosive material was planted inside a cupboard in the main prayer hall.
