All India Imam Council holds protests at several places in India against the arrest of Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui

New Delhi, 25 Sep 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: The All India Imam Council on Friday held protests across India against the “government for targeting of Muslim Scholars.” Protest  marches were held in Pune, Malegaon, Aurangabad, Nanded, Beed and Patna. The council said that the government’s action on Muslim leaders is a matter of grave concern. With Rs 27 crore donation per day, Azim Premji retains ‘India’s most generous’ title

New Delhi, 30 Oct 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Wipro founder Azim Premji donated Rs 27 crore a day or Rs 9,713 crore annually to retain his top rank among Indian philanthropists in FY21. He increased his donation by nearly a fourth during the pandemic year, as per the Edelgive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2021. HCL’s Shiv Nadar has ranked second on the list with contributions of Rs 1,263 crore towards upliftment causes. Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries, India’s richest man by a distance, came third on the list with a Rs 577 crore contribution and was succeeded by Kumar Mangalam Birla with Rs 377 crore. The second richest Indian Gautam Adani is eighth on the givers’ list with a donation of Rs 130 crore towards disaster relief.
