Prominent activists condemn arrest of anti-CAA activists and misuse of UAPA

New Delhi, 02 May 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: A group of prominent activists and citizens on Thursday expressed deep concern over the recent arrests on the “false pretext” that have been taking place using the regressive Section 124A of the Indian Penal Code and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) by the Union government. Condemning misuse of UAPA by the Modi Government, they said it is an attempt to “exterminate both, dissent and dissidents” during the lockdown period due to COVID-19pandemic.
