Read More...New Delhi, 02 May 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Eight Covid-19 patients, including a doctor, died at Delhi’s Batra Hospital on Saturday afternoon due to shortage of medical Oxygen at the facility. This is the second time in a week that Batra Hospital has run out of medical Oxygen. On April 24, the hospital received a last-minute re-supply that arrived minutes after its oxygen reserves ran out. The tragedy was reported around 12.45 p.m. at the Batra hospital in Delhi’s Mehrauli area. Among the deceased is the hospital’s gastroenteritis head Dr R.K. Himthani, 62. Six of the eight were admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and two to the wards. Around 12.30 p.m., the hospital claimed it had run out of liquid medical Oxygen supply. Read More...New Delhi, 08 June 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: A 70-year-old Rohingya woman held in Hiranagar jail in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district died on Monday, jail authorities said. The deceased has been identified as Noor Aisha who was in jail since early March. An official at the office of jail superintendent told Clarion India that Aisha was a patient of Asthma and died a natural death. “As of now the body is in hospital in the custody of jail authorities,” the official said. “I don’t know about the plans of last rites and how the body will be disposed of.” Aisha was among around 200 Rohingya refugees, including women and children, who were detained in early March from their camps in Jammu.
