Youth abducted, murdered a day after return from Gulf
Kasargod, 27 June 2022 [Fik/News Sources]: A young man who was employed in the Gulf and had been to hometown, was allegedly kidnapped by a gang and murdered. The accused had later fled after shifting him to a hospital. The incident took place at Bandyodu and a financial dispute is said to be the cause of the incident The deceased youth is Aboobakker Siddique (32) of Seetangoli. He had returned from the Gulf just on Saturday. It is said he was abducted in a car on Sunday afternoon. Later the assailants had taken him to a hospital. Karnataka CET 2022 results to be declared on July 30, here’s how to check
Bengaluru, 26 July 2022 [Fik/News Sources]: Karnataka Minister for Higher Education CN Ashwath Narayan on Monday, July 25 announced that the results for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2022, which is the eligibility test to seek admission for professional courses in Karnataka, will be declared on Saturday, July 30. The examination was held in June. The Minister, in a tweet, also said that CBSE and ICSE students should upload their marks on Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) website by July 26 evening. “#KCET2022 results will be announced on July 30. CBSE, ICSE Candidates from class 12 can upload their marks on the KEA website by July 26. You can check the results on: https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ (sic),” he said in a tweet. Aspirant misses UPSC exam, commits suicide
Karwar/New Delhi, 05 Jun 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A UPSC aspirant allegedly committed suicide in his room at Paharganj in Delhi on June 3. The deceased student has been identified as Varun Chandra (26), a native of Karwar. Lakhs of students appeared for the preliminary examination of the Civil Service Examination 2018 (commonly known as IAS exam) held on Sunday, June 3 all over the country. The aspirants are under huge pressure as the exam could make or break their hopes of entering the halls of bureaucracy in the country. Also, the fact that the exam takes a whole year to complete adds to the pressure. Varun was assigned an exam centre in Paharganj. In a mix-up, he reached another centre.
