Scored 90 marks; got 40!

Sullia, 09 May 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: When the result was published, 40 marks had been scored in Kannada language. On procuring the answer paper and checking, the marks scored were 90! Yukta, a PU student of the science division of Rotary school at Mittadka in Sullia received less marks due to the mistake committed by the examiner. Inspection of the answer paper shed light on the truth. Kerpala resident Somanath’s daughter Yukta had secured good marks in all the subjects excluding Kannada. Since she should have scored more marks in Kannada, a cyclostat copy of the answer paper was procured after paying the due fee. Miscreants apply cow dung on Dr. BR Ambedkar’s statue

Bengaluru, 26 May 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: In a shocking incident, miscreants on later Friday, May 24 night applied cow dung on the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar at Dastapur village of Kamalapur town. Following the incident, youths and leaders of the Dalit organizations gathered near the statue and blocked the road in protest. The protestors pelted stones at the shops and also damaged several two-wheelers, informed sources.
