4,778 people still in 120 Kerala camps

Thiruvananthapuram, 11 Sep 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A month after Kerala was devastated by unprecedented rains and floods, 4,778 people are still in 120 relief camps, authorities said on Tuesday. According to the Disaster Management State Control Room, the rains and floods have claimed 491 lives since May 29 while 14 persons remain missing. At the height of the deluge, there were 14.50 lakh people in over 3,000 relief camps. While Kasargode district was virtually left untouched, the capital district suffered minor damage. The worst hit districts included Alappuzha, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Wayanad besides parts of Kannur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kottayam and Kollam. Enact law to pave way for Ram temple: RSS

Thane (Maharashtra), 31 oct 2018 [Fik/News Sources]:  The RSS on Wednesday reiterated its demand for enacting a law or promulgating an ordinance to enable the speedy construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. RSS Joint General Secretary Manmohan Vaidya said that “construction of the Ram Mandir is a matter of national pride” and so far the Ayodhya dispute had not been resolved in the courts. His comments came in the wake of the three-day Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s ‘Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarni Mandal’ which was inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat. Nowhera Shaikh in Mumbai Court: Investors' money safe, will return every single penny

Mumbai, 04 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Reassuring the investors that they should not worry, Nowhera Shaikh, Heera Gold Managing Director and Founder President of All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) on Saturday said she was duty bound to return every single penny of the investors deposited with her. "Every investor's money is safe. I am committed and duty bound to return every single penny", Nowhera Shaikh said in Mumbai court Saturday.
