Iraq blasts US over accusing Iranian regime of graft
BAGHDAD, 28 Apr 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Iraq's Foreign Ministry on Sunday demanded the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad to delete a Facebook post in which it said "corruption is rife in all parts of the Iranian regime". On Thursday, the U.S. Embassy said that corruption in Iran starts from the top of the ruling regime, putting an estimate to the country's supreme leader Ali Khamenei's wealth at "$200 billion." It went on to attribute the poverty that the people languish in to "the dire economic situation in Iran after 40 years of rule by the mullahs." Syrian tribe condemns YPG/PKK occupation in Deir-ez-zor
ANKARA, 14 May 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: A prominent tribe in Syria Monday condemned the occupation of Arab populated areas by the YPG/PKK terror group. The Uqaydat tribe --which is mostly influential in Syria's eastern Deir-Ez-Zor province-- held a meeting in al-Shuhayl district to discuss the killing of eight civilians by the terrorist group last week. Anti-YPG/PKK protests have been held in the province for a while. The terror group killed eight civilians in the district center on May 9 and 10 while suppressing the demonstrations. In a statement released after the meeting, the Uqaydat tribe urged the PKK terrorist group and its Syrian branch YPG to withdraw from the areas it occupied in eastern Syria.
