PARIS, 18 Apr 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The recent U.S.-led airstrikes on the Assad regime were "necessary and proportionate", European Council President Donald Tusk said on Wednesday as he urged Russia and Iran to "stop playing games" in the region. Addressing members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg city as part of a debate on last month’s summit of EU leaders in Brussels, Tusk said: "The use of chemical weapons, anywhere in the world, must not become normalized. Afghanistan: 31 dead in voter registration office blast

KABUL, 22 Apr 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A Sunday morning suicide bombing in the Afghan capital Kabul killed over 30 people trying to register for fall elections, officials confirmed. “Thirty-one people were killed and over 50 are injured and undergoing treatment in various public hospitals,” Waheed Majroh, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, told Anadolu Agency. 4 Russian military personnel killed in Syria clash

MOSCOW, 28 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Four Russian military personnel have been killed and three Russian soldiers injured during a clash with militants in Deir ez-Zor, according to the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday. “An artillery battery of the regime’s forces was attacked this night; two Russian military advisers, who controlled the fire of the Syrian battery, were killed on the spot,” the ministry said in an earlier statement. Russian servicemen along with the Syrian regime forces together fought the militants during the clash that lasted for about an hour; "43 terrorists" were also killed and six vehicles with heavy weapons were also destroyed, the statement added.
