80 Houthi rebels killed in Yemen clashes

ADEN, 18 March 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: At least 80 Houthi rebels were killed and tens of others injured in clashes with government forces in Yemen, according to a statement from the press office of the Yemeni army Tuesday.   Sixty rebels were killed in clashes in the Qaniyah region in Al Bayda province. Another 20 rebels were killed in a Saudi Arabian-led coalition airstrikes in the district of Survah of Marib province. A Houthi drone was shot down in Al-Hudaydah province by Yemeni government forces, according to the press office of Amalika Brigade. Yemen has been beset by violence and chaos since 2014, when the Iran-backed Houthi rebels overran much of the country, including the capital of Sanaa. Israel planning to attack US forces to spark Iran war

Measure to limit Palestinian aid over ‘martyr payments’ due to pass US Congress

WASHINGTON, 22 Mar 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Legislation to sharply reduce the annual $300 million in US aid to the Palestinian Authority unless it takes steps to stop making what lawmakers described as payments that reward violent crime is set to be passed by the US Congress this week as part of a major spending bill unveiled on Wednesday. The measure, known as the Taylor Force Act, was named after a 29-year-old American military veteran fatally stabbed by a Palestinian while visiting Israel in 2016.
