Libya: 106 killed in Tripoli clashes since August

TRIPOLI, 23 September 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The death toll of the armed clashes that have rocked the Libyan capital Tripoli since late last month rose to 106 people as of Saturday, while cautious calm currently prevails Tripoli, according to Libya’s Tripoli-based Health Ministry. In armed clashes between militias affiliated with Libya’s UN-backed unity government since Aug. 26, 106 people have been killed, 365 others injured and 18 people have gone missing, the Health Ministry announced Saturday. Germany expected consultation before US Syria pullout

BERLIN, 22 Dec 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The German government said Friday that it would be appreciated if the U.S. negotiated with them before deciding to withdraw troops from Syria. Ulrike Demmer, the government’s deputy spokeswoman, told a news conference in Berlin that they were not consulted before the U.S. decision to pullout from Syria, even though they are allies in fight against Daesh terror group. Bomb attack kills 2, injures many in Egyptian capital

CAIRO, 29 Dec 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A roadside bomb killed two tourists and injured 12 others on Friday in western Cairo, local authorities said.  A statement from Egypt’s Interior Ministry said the bomb targeted a bus carrying Vietnamese tourists.   No group so far has claimed responsibility for the attack.
