ASI to Probe Viral Video of Man Offering Namaz at Taj Mahal
NEW DELHI, 23 Nov 2022 [Fik/News Sources]: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has decided to probe the authenticity of a viral video purportedly showing a man offering ‘namaz’ with a woman sitting alongside him in garden area said to be inside the Taj Mahal premises. Raj Kumar Patel, the superintending archaeologist for Agra circle of ASI, said: “We have come across a purported video going viral wherein a man is seen offering namaz in the area said to be the premises of the Taj Mahal. “However, there is no certainty about the authenticity of the video particularly because none of our staff at Taj Mahal saw such happening. Vanzara, who is a key accused in the sensational 2004 Ishrat Jahan alleged fake encounter case, concluded at a Special CBI Court here on Saturday. In June 2004, Mumbai-based 19-year-old Ishrat Jahan and three others — her friend Javed alias Pranesh, along with two Pakistani nationals Zeeshan Johar and Amzad Ali Rana — were gunned down by a team of Vanzara’s men in an alleged gun battle in Ahmedabad. Akbar Khan lynching: Rajasthan ordered judicial inquiry
Jaipur, 25 July 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The CJM’s court of Alwar on Tuesday ordered a judicial inquiry into the mob lynching incident on Saturday night that led to one Akbar Khan’s death, and handed over the case to Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM), Rajgarh for investigation. The police had requested the Alwar Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) to order a judicial inquiry into the case. Rajasthan Director General of Police O.P. Galhotra also confirmed that in view of the death of Khan allegedly in police custody, the police department had requested the CJM for a judicial inquiry. “Paying heed to our request, the Alwar CJM has ordered judicial inquiry into the case and handed it over to Rajgarh ACJM,” Galhotra said.
