Hindu side not part of any Ayodhya mediation effort: VHP
New Delhi, 19 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday said that the Hindu side had not participated in any mediation effort after the hearing of appeals on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue commenced in the Supreme Court. Referring to news reports about a mediated settlement, VHP”s Working President Alok Kumar, in a statement, disassociated the Hindu side from any such move. “We have seen some press reports about a settlement on Ram Janmabhoomi issue by the Sunni Wakf Board. The VHP wishes to make it clear that the Hindu side have not been approached for, or has not participated in any mediation effort after the hearing of appeals commenced in the Supreme Court. Hate posts: 32 FIRS registered in 72 hrs in UP
New Delhi, 23 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Thirty two FIRs have been registered in the past 72 hours in Uttar Pradesh related to hate posts on the social media, following the murder of Hindu Samaj Party leader Kamlesh Tiwari. “The murder of Kamlesh Tiwari, the upcoming festival season, intelligence inputs of terror threats and the impending Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya dispute has made the situation rather vulnerable. “The social media has emerged as a volatile platform for spreading hatred and we are taking no chances,” said an official in the social media monitoring cell. Muhurat trading: Sensex jumps 195 points, Nifty reclaims 11,600
New Delhi, 28 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Market benchmark BSE Sensex rallied 195 points in the opening trade of the special Muhurat session on Sunday to mark the beginning of Hindu Samvat year 2076. The 30-share Sensex was trading higher by 194.87 points at 39,252.93 in the first few minutes of trade. The broader NSE Nifty also rose by 56.55 points to 11,644.95. Barring telecom, all BSE sectoral indices were in the green, led by auto, industrials, metal and basic materials. Brokers said buying activity gathered momentum as investors opened their books on the first session of Samvat 2076. Major gainers in the Sensex pack were Tata Motors, Yes Bank, Infosys, Vedanta Ltd, ITC Ltd, Hero MotoCorp, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel and RIL, rallying up to 16.07 per cent.
