Hapless Wife Screaming, Delhi Resident Mohammed Qasim Dies Outside LNJP

New Delhi, 02 May 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Non-availability of beds at Delhi hospitals continue to take its toll even as Delhi government has started make-shift Covid Centres in the city. On Friday, a 34-year-old man from Rohini, Mohammed Qasim, lost his life outside the LNJP, the biggest Covid centre of Delhi, as doctors refused him admission citing non-availability of beds in the hospital. The hapless wife of the deceased and other relatives who had brought Qasim to hospital could only see him gasping for the breath as he breathed his last. Qasim was brought in an ambulance by his wife and his neighbours but he hadn’t been able to get a Covid test despite having symptoms. In UP’s Greater Noida Mosque, Imam, Worshippers Assaulted by Group of Men During Prayers

New Delhi, 08 June 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: A group of men barged into a mosque and assaulted the imam as well as other worshippers at Rampur Majra village in Greater Noida near Delhi on Saturday. The incident took place around 8:30pm, when people were offering their evening prayers. Speaking with Clarion India on Monday, Braj Nandan Rai, Circle Officer at Dankaur police station, confirmed the incident and said the police have registered a case against unidentified men invoking sections 147, 148 (rioting), 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others), 295 (defiling place of worship) and 296 (disturbing religious assembly). Petrol Price Moves up Further, Diesel Rate Unchanged

New Delhi, 18 July 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Global cues pushed petrol prices to increase again across the country on Saturday adding further pressure to the stretched budgets of consumers grappling with rising food prices amidst shrinking income. However, unlike uniform price movement earlier, oil marketing companies on Saturday increased the pump price of petrol only and kept diesel rates unchanged offering some relief to the transport sector. Accordingly, while the price of petrol increased by 30 paise per litre to Rs 101.84 a litre in Delhi, diesel price remained at Friday’s level of Rs 89.87 a litre.
