Delhi, 03 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A Kashmiri student who was arrested on charges of hacking around 500 websites, will be now able to appear in his MCA Examination. Delhi High Court on Tuesday directed police to take Adil Teeli to examination hall at an institute in Punjab’s Jalandhar. A division bench of Justices S Muralidhar and I S Mehta observed that the Kashmiri student was taken into custody on the orders of deputy metropolitan magistrate until May 7 from April 29. The High Court passed the directions after hearing the parties. Counsel who appeared for the police, Rahul Mehra, said that they did not know about Teeli had the examination that begins on May 2. According to a report by Greater Kashmir, the court ordered that Teeli should be taken to his institute. Advocate Mehra accepted notice on behalf of the state

The company had filed an application in February this year to obtain environmental clearance to expand its plant in the coastal city. The expansion would have entailed doubling of the capacity of the smelter to 800,000 tonnes per year. The agitation which entered the 100th day on Tuesday, saw 15,000 people march towards the collectorate demanding closure of the plant.
