Over 30 seats out of 115 have large number of Muslim voters in 3rd phase
New Delhi, 23 Apr 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Out of the 115 Lok Sabha seats going to polls in the third phase of elections on April 23, over 30 constituencies spread across Assam, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and West Bengal have substantial Muslim population while Christians have large population in the two seats of Goa and several Kerala constituencies. The highest concentration of Muslims is in Assam’s Dhubri (67.4 per cent) and Malappuram (68 per cent) in Kerala. From Dhubri, All India United Democratic Front (AIDUF) chief Badruddin Ajmal is seeking re-election. Mallapuram is considered a bastion of Indian Union Muslim League(IUML). New Delhi, 27 August 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: During the last six year Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received six awards from Muslim countries during the last five years. Recently, the United Arab Emirates’s (UAE) conferred Modi the highest civilian honour, admist his government’s clampdown on the Muslim-majority Kashmir region Modi was awarded the Order of Zayed medal by the UAE’s crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, known by his initials MBZ, during a visit to the capital Abu Dhabi on Saturday, reinforcing ties between the two countries.
