Fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari brought to Bengaluru from Senegal
Bengaluru, 24 Feb 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Fugitive notorious gangster Ravi Pujari was brought back to India in the early hours of Monday after he was arrested from Senegal. The gangster, wanted for crimes like murder and extortion, was extradited from Senegal and brought to Bengaluru via France, officials said. Sources said that Ravi Pujari has been formally placed under arrest and will be produced before the court on Monday. Ravi Pujari had filed an application before the Supreme Court of Senegal that he was not the person India was looking for, but the intelligence agencies in coordination with Senegal authorities were able to convince the court that Pujari was trying to mislead investigators. The Supreme Court of Senegal had on Wednesday rejected the plea in which Pujari had pleaded that he should not be extradited to India.

Mangaluru, 07 Apr 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Former minister and Congress leader UT Khader helped an elderly person with fever symptoms from his constituency get admitted to Wenlock hospital amid the travel restrictions imposed owing to coronavirus lockdown. It is gathered that Khader called for an ambulance after family members of the elderly person, from Kotepura sought his help in going to the hospital. However he got yet another call after around 30 minutes saying the ambulance had not reached the place whereafter Khader himself went to the residence of the elderly to check on the issue. Karnataka man faces jail for insulting Islam in UAE: Report
Bengaluru, 11 April 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: An Indian expat in the UAE is facing police action for allegedly insulting Islam on social media in response to a Facebook post on the coronavirus, according to a media report. Rakesh B Kitturmath, who worked as a team leader at Emrill Services, an integrated facilities management (FM) headquartered in Dubai, was sacked on Thursday after his post sparked outrage on social media, the Gulf News reported. “Kitturmath’s employment stands terminated with immediate effect. He will be handed over to Dubai Police.
