Karnataka big guns in Chennai to pay tribute to M Karunanidhi
Bengaluru, 09 Aug 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Even as the state observed a day of mourning as a mark of respect for DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi ,who died in Chennai on Tuesday, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy led several leaders of Karnataka in paying tribute to the late leader, who dreamed of building a Dravidian nation. Mr Kumaraswamy recalled in his condolence message that Mr Karunanidhi was a strong proponent of regional parties. "He strived for the development of Tamil Nadu all his life and built a stronghold for the regional party, DMK. I met him several times and took tips from him on strengthening regional parties. Gauri Lankesh murder: SIT nabs another accused
Belagavi, 01 Sep 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh, arrested another accused in connection to the case. The arrested accused has been identified as Sagar(30), a resident of Ganeshpura in Jyothinagar, Belagavi. Police have arrested Sagar on the basis of the telephone conversation with Bharath Kurane, one of the accused in Gauri Lankesh case. Complaint lodged against insulting Minister Khader in Facebook
Mangaluru, 09 Oct 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: A complaint was lodged with the Police Commissioner demanding arrest of the accused who insulted Minister UT Khader in a Facebook account, on Monday. In a complaint, UT Khader Fans Club member Ashraf Monu Boliyar said that a person, in his Facebook account ‘Hani Hindustani Mangaluru Hindu’, has insulted Minister Khader with foul language and tarnished his image. Minister’s photos were disfigured and used foul language to criticize him and posted disgraceful report which pained lakhs of fans of Khader.
