More Mysuru to host state-level International Yoga Day
Mysuru, 21 Apr 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Last year on June 21, Mysuru entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest gathering at a single venue held on the occasion of the International Yoga Day at the spacious 139 acre Mysore Race Course. This year, the state government has decided to celebrate the state-level International Yoga Day in Mysuru with grandeur. Mysuru was one of four cities that was chosen to host the International Yoga Day celebrations, a list that recently shrank to two cities- Mysuru and Jaipur. Upwards of 2000 people have already signed up to take part in the International Yoga Day celebrations to be held in Mysuru and the yoga experts in Mysuru, are technically ready to host the Yoga Day celebrations. Bhatkal: Congress and BJP candidates file nominations on the same day
Bhatkal, 24 Apr 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: On April 23, the Bhatkal Assembly constituency received nominations from the BJP and Congress candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections scheduled for May 12. Sitting MLA Mankal Vaidya and Sunil Naik, filed their nominations from Congress and BJP respectively for Bhatkal Assembly constituency here. Bengaluru, 22 May 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: The Congress may have entered into a marriage of convenience with the JD(S) to form the government in Karnataka, but not everyone in the party seems happy with its decision. Take the Hassan Congress leaders, who in an open display of displeasure at the arrangement, did not turn up to greet CM-designate H.D. Kumaraswamy of the JD(S), when he arrived for the first time since being crowned king in Holenarsipur to offer pooja at its various temples on Monday.
