UAE reopens mosques in industrial areas and labor sites

DUBAI, 29 August 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: UAE authorities will be gradually reopening mosques and prayer rooms in industrial areas and labor sites, state news agency WAM reported.

National Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, NCEMA, together with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments said capacity will be initially capped at 30 percent and worshipers will have to adhere to precautionary measures, such as a three-meter distance between individuals and sanitizing hands before and after visit.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention meanwhile detected 390 new coronavirus cases on Friday after conducting 79,680 new tests.

The country’s caseload since the start of the pandemic is now at 68,901.

The authority also reported additional 389 recoveries and a fatality, raising both numbers to 59,861 recovered patients and 379 deaths.
