DHAKA, 31 Mar 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: All 221 shops at a market in upscale Gulsan area of Bangladesh's capital Dhaka were gutted by a fire on Saturday morning, just two days after a devastating fire in the city left 25 people dead, according to the country’s fire service.

"The fire broke out in early morning when market was closed and we did not have any report of deaths," Sajjad Hossain, director general of Fire Service and Civil Defense, told Anadolu Agency.

A five-member investigation committee has been formed to probe the incident, he added.

The fire broke out around 6.00 a.m. local time (0000GMT) and it was brought under control in nearly three-hour hectic efforts by firefighters, an on-duty officer of fire service told Anadolu Agency.

It is not still clear what caused the fire.

Another fire on Thursday in Dhaka's upscale Banani area claimed 25 lives and wounded more than 80 people.

Only a month ago a deadly fire in Dhaka's old part caused the death of 70 people, reminding the vulnerable condition of the world's one of the densely populated cities, Dhaka.
