China, Rwanda strengthen bilateral ties

ANKARA, 24 July 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: China and Rwanda strengthened bilateral relations by signing 15 agreements during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s official visit to the east African country's capital on Monday.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame received his Chinese counterpart in Kigali.

At a joint press conference, the Chinese and Rwandan leaders said that they were pleased to develop ties between the two countries.

The agreements were signed in various areas such as economic cooperation, civil aviation, diplomatic and special passports, visa exemption, e-commerce, infrastructure, culture and science.

Xi's visit to Rwanda, which he started on Sunday, is the first official visit to the country of a Chinese head of state.
