Ambidant: After bail rejected, Gali Janardhan Reddy’s aide Khan surrenders

Bengaluru, 21 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: An hour after the 61st CCH court cancelled the interim bail plea of mining baron and former BJP minister Gali Janardhan Reddy's close aide Mehfuz Ali Khan in connection with the multi-crore Ambidant money laundering and bribery case, Khan surrendered before the Ist ACMM court on Tuesday. The ACMM court sent Khan to judicial custody till November 27. The interim bail of Khan was cancelled following an objection from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) investigating the Ambidant scam. Khan is accused of mediating an alleged bribe deal between the owners of Ambidant Marketing Pvt Ltd, Syed Fareed Ahmed and his son Syed Afaq Ahmed, with Reddy. Reddy had allegedly demanded Rs 20 crore from Fareed to bail him out of the Enforcement Directorate investigation in Ambidant's fraudulent

32 nurses, who studied in mangaluru, rescued from human trafficking racket

Bengaluru, 28 Nov 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: As many as 32 women nursing graduates from Kerala, who completed their graduation in Mangaluru, have been rescued from human trafficking racket. They were suspected to be victims of human trafficking racket and were rescued at Kempegowda International Airport when they were on their way to pursue a short-term course to learn German at the University of Traditional Medicine of Armenia (UTMA).  Based on a complaint filed by immigration officials of KIA, Northeast-division DCP Kala Krishnaswamy arrested one Tony Tom, who was taking the women to Armenia. DHARWAD, 05 Dec 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: Residents of Morab village in Dharwad, have rejected to drink water of this lake when they learnt that an HIV-positive woman committed suicide by jumping into it. The authorities, who failed to convince the villagers, are now draining the water from the 36-acre lake.
