Babri Litigants Not Invited to Foundation Laying Ceremony of New Ayodhya Mosque

New Delhi, 26 Jan 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: The foundation laying ceremony of the mosque on 5 acres of land in Dhannipur village in Ayodhya on the Republic Day has already triggered a controversy after the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) denying invitation to litigants and office-bearers/members of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), an important representative body of Muslims in India. The IICF has been entrusted with the task of constructing Ayodhya mosque by the Sunni Central Waqf Board after the Supreme Court mandated 5 acres of land to the Board for construction of a mosque in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh madrasas see steady fall in number of students

New Delhi, 14 Mar 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Despite the state government’s focus on lifting the standard of education in madrasas by bringing the curriculum at par with mainstream institutions, the number of students at these centres of Islamic education in Uttar Pradesh has been dwindling. The trend is prominent in aided and recognised madrasas. The state government allocated Rs 479 crore for the Madrasas Modernization scheme in its 2021-22 budget to upgrade the traditional institutions and connect students with emerging opportunities. As per data from UP Madrasa Shiksha Board, there are around 16,500 recognised madarsas, of which 558 are totally aided. Congress breaking ties with AIUDF will benefit both parties: Badruddin Ajmal

New Delhi, 07 Sep 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) president Badruddin Ajmal on Monday said the Congress might have snapped ties with the party but he has no grudge against it as the decision will benefit both the parties during by-elections to be held in seats lying vacant due to resignation of MLAs. The AIUDF chief said his party will contest one or two seats in the by-polls, the dates of which are yet to be announced. "Whatever decision the big brother (Congress) takes, we agree to it.
