Anti-government protests grow in Iraq

BAGHDAD, 03 Oct 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Anti-government protestors took to the streets on Wednesday across Iraq, including the capital Baghdad, demanding improved living conditions and an end to what they call government corruption. Women also took part in the second day of protests, with security forces on high alert, locking down several squares and streets in Baghdad. The country's National Security Council held an emergency meeting with Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi to discuss how to address the protests. Regime, Russian jets kill 19 civilians in Idlib, Syria

IDLIB, 08 Dec 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Russian and Syrian regime fighter jets on Saturday struck what is supposed to be a cease-fire zone in northwestern Syria, leaving at least 19 civilians dead, according to the opposition aircraft observatory. The observatory said Russian jets struck settlements in villages in Idlib, Syria in the southern Marratinnuman district, while regime forces mounted air and ground attacks on the town of Kafranbil and other local villages. According to Syrian opposition Civil Defense (White Helmets), Russian jets killed four civilians in the village of Al-Bara and eight in the marketplace in the village of Belyun.
