Karnataka High Court stays land denotification case against B.S. Yeddyurappa
Bengaluru, 03 Apr 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday stayed a land denotification case against former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa before the lower court. A complaint was filed against him stating that while he was the deputy chief minister in 2006, he had ordered illegal deletion of land notified for IT Park in and around Bellandur and Devarabisanahalli. The complainant, Vasudeva Reddy, had filed a private complaint in the Lokayukta Special Court in 2013, wherein he stated that Yeddyurappa ordered de-notification of four acres 30 guntas in survey number 49 in Devarabisanahalli and survey numbers 10, 18, 46/1 in Bellandur. Passenger train coach catches fire, no casualties reported
Bengaluru, 28 Apr 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: As many as 600 passengers on board a passenger train had a narrow escape after one of the coaches caught fire due to a short circuit in electrical equipment beneath it It is gathered that the train No. 76508 left Bangarpet at 3.30 pm and sparks of fire were noticed by the guard standing at the rear of the train at 5.38 pm as soon as the train crossed Hoodi Halt station. The train was heading from Bangarpet to Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna (Bengaluru City) railway station. Soon ‘VTMS’ app from KSRTC
Mangaluru, 25 June 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The corporation has come forward to create a ‘Vehicle Tracking and Monitoring System’ (VTMS) based app to keep an eye on the movement of KSRTC buses. The company is conducting discussions regarding the special expenses and possibilities regarding the creation do the app and the tender process in this connection is expected to be held in a few days. KSRTC already has 84 depots, 17 divisions and a total of 8,729 buses. As part of the first phase, VTMS tech has been installed in 2,000 buses spread across Mangaluru, Puttur, Mysuru rural and Ramanagara divisions. The second phase will be started soon and KSRTC has decided to install the tech on all of its buses.
