Emirati royal slams Islamophobia in India

ANKARA, 20 June 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Emirati Princess Sheikha Hend bint Faisal al-Qasimi has strongly criticized Islamophobic tendencies in India and also expressed solidarity and sympathies with Indian Muslims and Kashmiris. In an interview with an Indian online news portal TwoCircles.net, al-Qasimi recalled a hate tweet by an Indian citizen living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The tweet was "insulting my religion, insulting my country, condescending my rulers and my leaders and saying that Indians were running the business in my country." US official predicts Qatar will eventually normalize ties with Israel

CHICAGO, 19 Sep 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Despite strong Qatari criticism of the Abraham Accords between Israel, the UAE and Bahrain, US State Department officials said they expect Qatar to eventually normalize relations with Israel, though they could not provide a timetable. During a teleconference briefing Thursday morning, Timothy Lenderking, deputy assistant secretary of state for Arabian Gulf affairs, reminded attendees that Qatar had been the first Gulf nation to allow Israel to open an office in it capital, Doha. SANAA, 17 Dec 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia should pull out from war-torn Yemen where 24 million people, half of whom are children need urgent aid, experts said.  On March 2011, popular uprising erupted in Yemen against Ali Abdullah Salih who ruled the country for over 20 years. Salih was forced to resign in 2012 and he fled to Saudi Arabia. Vice President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi was elected in its aftermath. The Hadi government could not stand the conflict in the country and was forced to resign in 2014 after the Houthi rebel group overran the capital, Sanaa.
