No Let-Up in Attacks on Muslim Properties, Say Reports Coming from Tripura
New Delhi, 23 Oct 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Anti-Muslim violence that began in the northeastern state of Tripura on Thursday continued even on Friday. Reports coming from the state indicate that Hindu right-wing mobs are running amok, attacking mosques and Muslims’ homes and shops. Local sources said that on Friday a mob attacked a mosque in Palbazar (Ratacherra) Unakoti district. The visuals of the post-attack scene show wares littered around on the mosque floor. According to media reports, the players have been asked to consume meat only in halal form and barred from eating beef or pork. US is India’s 2nd biggest arms supplier, Israel 3rd: Report
New Delhi , 17 Mar 2018 [Fik/News Sources]: As New Delhi diversifies its arms purchases, the US is rapidly increasing its arms sales to India, emerging over the last five years as its second biggest supplier by providing 15 per cent of its weapons imports, a study by Sipri said. Washington increased its sales by more than five times compared to the previous five years, the authoritative Stockholm International Peace Research Institute said in its report released this week. Israel has moved up to the third spot accounting for 11 per cent of India’s imports during the 2013-17 calendar years, Sipri added.
