Turkey donates humanitarian aid to thousands in Somalia

MOGADISHU, 24 Nov 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Turkey on Saturday donated humanitarian aid to thousands of Somali people displaced by floods in recent months.  The life-saving assistance was delivered by the state-run Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency. In a statement, the Turkish Embassy in Somalia said: “Turkey has delivered humanitarian relief supplies to the flood-affected people of Beledweyne.” The statement noted that the embassy was closely working with Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), the Turkish Red Crescent and Turkiye Diyanet Foundation. “During the operation, approximately 250 tons of supplies have been delivered to the 35,000 displaced people. Indonesian children suffering from gadget addiction

BOGOR, 28 Nov 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Indonesian children are suffering from mental disorders due to an addiction to mobile devices. The number of such cases accounted for 25% of all pediatric patients at one hospital in the city of Bogor in West Java province. This was revealed by Dr. Ira Savitri Tanjung, a specialist in psychology, as well as child and adolescent psychiatrists at Marzuki Mahdi Hospital in Bogor last week. The hospital is currently treating more than 300 pediatric patients, meaning there are around 75 children suffering from mental disorders due to mobile device addiction. Nigeria: Gunmen kill 5, kidnap 40 in attack on mosque

ABUJA, 23 Nov 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: At least five worshippers were killed and 40 others kidnapped when armed gunmen attacked a mosque in northwestern Nigeria, local media reported Sunday. The attack by armed gangs occurred at a mosque in Zamfara state. The imam was among those reportedly abducted.
