THE HAGUE, 14 Feb 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) rejected on Wednesday the U.S. objection on Iran's bid to recover $1.75 billion worth of frozen assets which the U.S. claims should go to victims of attacks linked to Tehran. The ICJ has affirmed that it has the "jurisdiction" over the case filed by Iran in 2016 against the U.S. The UN's highest court also dismissed the U.S.'s objection on Iran's alleged support of terrorism on the grounds of having no evidence in this matter. With the latest killing, the number of U.S. soldiers killed in Afghanistan this year has surged to 17. This came as the U.S. and Taliban are engaged in the ninth session of ongoing marathon round of peace talks in the Qatari capital,

"The loss of Hamza bin Laden not only deprives al-Qa'ida of important leadership skills and the symbolic connection to his father, but undermines important operational activities of the group," Trump said in a statement. The junior bin Laden had been gaining popularity in his father's al-Qaeda terrorist network. In early August, NBC News broke the story, citing three anonymous government officials who would not specify where or when Hamza bin Laden died or if the U.S. had any role in his death. But The New York Times later reported that the U.S. had a role in his death,
