Saudi crown prince behind Khashoggi killing: Activist

GENEVA, 05 Mar 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: We know that Saudi crown prince is behind the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi last fall in Turkey, said a Saudi Arabian human rights activist on Monday. “[Saudi Crown Prince] Mohammed bin Salman, we know, is behind all of that [Jamal Khashoggi killing],” Yahya Assiri, told the 40th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. Khashoggi was brutally murdered inside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul shortly after he entered the diplomatic facility in October, 2018. 4 Jordanians killed in New Zealand mosque attacks

AMMAN, 17 Mar 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Jordan on Saturday confirmed the death of four of its citizens in a deadly attack on two mosques in New Zealand.  In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the death toll rose to four after two injured Jordanians died of their injuries.  The ministry said six other Jordanians were injured in the attacks.  At least 50 Muslims were killed when a gunman opened fire on worshippers during the weekly Friday prayers at the Al Noor and Linwood mosques in Christchurch in New Zealand.  Four suspects -- three men and one woman -- have been detained. US Syria envoys to travel to Turkey, Switzerland

WASHINGTON, 30 Apr 2019 [Fik/News Sources]: Two U.S. representatives will travel to Turkey and Switzerland to discuss Syria, the State Department said Monday. James Jeffrey, who also serves as the U.S. special envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh, and Washington's special envoy Joel Rayburn will make the April 30-May 2 trip to Ankara, where Jeffrey will lead a delegation to discuss the situation with Turkish officials.
