Israel: Highest daily spike in virus cases since May 1
JERUSALEM, 03 June 2020 [Fik/News Sources]: Israel on Tuesday recorded its highest number of coronavirus infections in a single day since the beginning of May with 116, raising its total to 17,285, according health officials. It registered five new fatalities from the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the nationwide death toll to 290. A total of 31 patients remain in critical condition while 14,940 have recovered from the virus. Daily numbers of coronavirus cases show an upward trend in recent days after authorities took measures to ease restrictions. The pandemic has claimed more than 377,400 lives in 188 countries and regions since originating in China last December. Israeli forces kill 3 Palestinians, wound 1 in West Bank
RAMALLAH, 10 June 2021 [Fik/News Sources]: Israeli forces killed three Palestinians during a raid early Thursday in the West Bank city of Jenin and left another wounded. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Palestinian security forces put up resistance to the Israeli troops. At least three people, including two from a Palestinian security unit, lost their lives. Lt. Adham Elewi (23) and Cpt. Taysir Isa (33) worked for the military intelligence service, and Gamil Mahmud al-Amuri was a Palestinian who had previously served time in Israeli prison, the agency reported. Qatar ruler holds talks with Kurdish leader in Doha
